Our ambulance services are not fully Government funded. Contracts with the Ministry of Health, ACC and District Health Boards (DHBs) fund just under70% of our ambulance service direct operating costs.

The ASB St John in Schools programme provides learning experiences for pre-school, primary and intermediate school aged children to empower them to act in an emergency. 

Clinical Hub

Clinical Hub

Every day St John receives 1,200-1,500 emergency 111 calls. A small number of those calls are from people who need medical help, but for whom an ambulance is not the best treatment. We have a better way to help those people.

St John Youth

St John Youth

St John Youth programmes help young New Zealanders to develop first aid, health care, leadership and life skills. Penguins are aged 6 to 8, cadets are aged 8 to 18.
