Advanced resuscitation skills for health professionals
Unlike our other resuscitation courses, which deliver prescribed modules, this workshop can be customised to the needs of your group.

St John can help you choose the content of your workshop from a selection of standard and advanced modules. At least one advanced module needs to be included in your workshop content. Your workshop can offer initial training or provide refresher training.

  • Basic ECG training 
  • IM adrenaline

  • Preparation of drugs 
  • Principles of manual defibrillation

Prerequisites for the course
Attendees need to be registered nurses, medical practitioners or people who need advanced resuscitation skills as part of their scope of practice.

  • Please note: this workshop does not meet NZRCGPs requirements and is NOT suitable for Fellows on the Maintenance of Professional Standards (MOPS) programme.  If you are a Doctor going through Fellowship of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, you will need to complete the 6 hour Resuscitation Level 5 course.
