Try a St John Medical Alarm. There’s no charge during the trial period, even if you need an ambulance.
If you’d like to try a St John Medical Alarm before you commit, you can arrange an in-home demonstration followed by a free trial period of up to one-month*. Remember, ours is the only medical alarm in New Zealand that is monitored by St John.
A St John representative will come to your home to:
- Explain how the medical alarm works and the services it links to
- Show you how to call for help
- Set up a medical alarm for your free trial
The representative will also be able to tell you about financial assistance through Work and Income (a service of the Ministry of Social Development). If you qualify for funding, you could be covered for up to the full cost of your medical alarm. You can find out more about Disability Allowance funding for medical alarms at Disability Allowance Medical Alarm Fact Sheet at Work and Income
How the free trial works
During the free trial period you can enjoy all the benefits of a St John Medical Alarm at no charge, even if you need an ambulance callout during this time.
If you decide you don’t want the alarm, simply call St John before the trial period expires and we’ll arrange to pick up the equipment without question and with no cost to you.
If you decide to keep the St John Medical Alarm, you don’t need to do anything – well begin billing you automatically at expiry of the trial period.
