Volunteer T-Shirts

The “Volunteer T-shirt” was successfully launched on International Volunteers’ Day since 2014. Since then just over 2000 volunteers proudly wear their volunteer t-shirts – an initiative that St John has been pleased to subsidise in terms of costs - as one small, tangible way of recognising its volunteers.

Who is eligible to order a T-shirt?

Any volunteer who has a volunteer agreement and is recorded as a volunteer in our member database.

What is the cost of the T-shirt?

The price is $10 per T-shirt including postage.

Can I still have the area I volunteer in printed on the back?

Unfortunately, this option adds to the complexity of the ordering process, and to costs – and means that orders can take a very long time to come through, frustrating volunteers and us! For these reasons – and in line with our “one St John’ by-line, this option has therefore had to be removed.

How do I order a T-shirt?

For a two-week period over National Volunteer Week (end of June) and International Volunteer Day (early December) we will be offering a set number of t-shirts for purchase.  This will help with the ordering process and contain costs. Please look out for advertising on the Hub or liaise with your team leader to place an order.

Will it still take ages to get my t-shirt?

Previously orders were collated and sent out when a certain number had been received. Now that there are two specific times a year that t-shirts can be ordered you should receive your purchase 4-5 weeks from the time St John sends the order to the manufacturer.
