The World Masters Games 2017 is for everyone – with 28 sports and 45 disciplines, whether you play to stay fit, to have fun or just win. In April 2017, 25,000 athletes will be descending on Auckland for the event of a lifetime, so now is the time to get involved.
We understand that many participants have a desire to give back to the community and make a difference by taking part. This is why St John, New Zealand’s most trusted charity*, has partnered with the World Masters Games – to encourage active involvement at different levels within all communities.
As many Kiwis know, we treat over 400,000 people every year. This is only possible because we are supported by fantastic individuals such as you. We receive some government funding, but our frontline vehicles, equipment and community health programmes are funded through the generosity of the people in your communities – we simply can’t do it without you.
All World Masters Games 2017 participants will have the option to either fundraise for St John or simply make a donation and really make a difference for Kiwi communities.
