If you have an iPhone, you can download an application to help you save a life. A New Zealand company - Marker, in association with St John, have developed an iPhone application to assist in the case of a collapsed patient requiring CPR. Better still, the application can be used at anytime to remind you of the CPR steps.

Downloading the application from the Apple iStore (or iTunes) is easy and free and St John encourages everyone with an iPhone to download the CPR programme.

"St John is committed to ensuring as many New Zealanders as possible know what to do when someone collapses. Sudden cardiac arrest kills many New Zealanders every year, and we want to do all we can to save as many of these people as possible. Downloading this CPR application may just save some lives. We are indebted to Marker for their work on this project. St John could not provide such cutting edge programmes without support from organisations such as Marker," Gerry Fitzgerald, St John Customers and Services Director says.

This CPR application is the first developed for the New Zealand environment.
