On Monday 14 May, National Patient Pathways Manager Kris Gagliardi and Medical Director Dr Tony Smith presented a business case to the national group of DHB General Managers Planning and Funding in Wellington, requesting that DHBs supply fibrinolytic kits to designated paramedic and ICP ambulances and helicopters across New Zealand to enable the rollout of the National STEMI Pathway. The business case was unanimously endorsed and in the coming months, we will be implementing the National STEMI Pathway in a staged manner across New Zealand....
