St John Honours 2018 nominations now open

Veni Oliveros |

Honurs SystemSt John is privileged to have its own Honours system and is the only independent organisation in New Zealand to have one. Similar to the New Zealand Order of Merit system, St John recognises the exceptional service contributions of its members, both paid and volunteer. Admission and Promotion to the Order is based on contribution, not age or length of service. All nominations that are successful are sanctioned by the Sovereign Head of the Order, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

There are five grades of Honours:

Priory Vote of Thanks:  A certificate of recognition to significant service or contribution

Grade V:  Admission as a Member

Grade IV:  Promotion to Officer

Grade III:  Promotion to Commander

Grade II:  Promotion to Knight/Dame

Any member of St John can nominate another member for an Honour. Complete the nomination form here and send it to your local Order Matters Manager. The final date for nominations is the 11 May 2018 with no exceptions. Please keep in mind that all nominations must be kept strictly confidential. If confidentiality is broken, it may result in the nomination being removed.
