Fundraising helps children to experience how good it feels to help others. It also gives them the satisfaction of making a real contribution to their local community, as well as learning about a key New Zealand charity.

One day a year
Our suggestion is to choose just one day a year for fundraising. On that day, you can hold a number of mini events that all contribute to the total raised. It’s good to begin the day with a short assembly talk about all the things that Hato Hone St John does for the local community. You can also explain that we’re a charity and what that means.
