My husband had a cardiac arrest in our kitchen one Sunday afternoon. I phoned 111 and was connected to the ambulance. The man I spoke to was nothing short of wonderful. Asked if I knew how to do CPR and talked me through it. He helped me with the correct rhythm, kept me informed of how long the ambulance would be but most of all kept me going when my growing panic at the noticeable lack of life in my husband was getting to me.

When the ambulance did arrive, (along with a fire truck ) I was extremely relieved to see them. They had to shock Nick twice to get his heart going again and we had a very fast trip to hospital. All is well now but only thanks to all the help from St John
