I was the main carer for my 45 year old son who was suffering from terminal cancer.  He had lived next door to me for a couple of years and one morning (September 2012) I went to give him his first meds of the day only to find he was on his couch in the lounge collapsed.

I got him sitting up with pillows, ran to my home next door and dialled 111.  It seemed ages before they answered but it was only minutes before a lass answered and assured me a vehicle was on its way.  It turned out we needed two vehicles.

Wonderful, wonderful staff not only to me but to my unconscious son who passed away later that night. Compassionate, caring, what other words are there?  Thank you seems so very inadequate.
