Ten years ago, Otautahi Christchurch was struck by a devastating 6.3 magnitude earthquake that changed the face of the city forever and claimed 185 lives.

On this 10th anniversary we stand alongside all the people, communities, and businesses in Christchurch and across New Zealand to reflect and remember one of Aotearoa's greatest natural disasters. Our heartfelt thoughts are with the victims and their families, the current and former citizens of Christchurch, and all of our people including our emergency service colleagues who responded to the event.
