Dr TeUrikore Biddle

TeUrikore is a senior executive and governance leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for whānau and communities across Aotearoa-New Zealand.

Grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi and kaupapa Māori, she brings a values-led approach to leadership, weaving mātauranga Māori through governance, strategy, and day-to-day practice. She is known for being a trusted advisor at Board and Executive level, with a practical style that turns strategy into action and supports others to deliver meaningful results.

Her experience spans regional delivery, national reform, and international partnerships, giving her a strong understanding of how systems work - and how they need to work better for people. At the heart of her work is a commitment to strong relationships, particularly with hapū, iwi, communities, and stakeholders, ensuring that decisions are grounded, evidenced-based and future-focused.

In governance, Dr Biddle brings a steady focus on accountability, risk, and long-term impact. She values collaboration, builds trust quickly, and works to create environments where diverse perspectives are heard and reflected in decision-making.

She holds a Doctoral Professional Practice focused on Te Tiriti, equity, and organisational transformation, and is a recipient of both the Fulbright Award and the International Science and Technology Award - recognising her contribution to leadership and system change.

Dr Biddle is excited about the opportunity to contribute to a national organisation like Hato Hone St John, and to work alongside a high-calibre governance and executive leadership team to support the delivery of services that make a real difference in the lives of people and communities across Aotearoa-New Zealand.
