Cam’s association with Hato Hone St John began as a cadet in 1990, progressing through the youth ranks and earning the Grand Prior award.  Leaving to focus on his career, he rejoined in 2018 and has since been a member of the Nelson and Tasman Bays Area Committee, leading Property and Finance portfolios.  

He has diligently supported the recent amalgamation of the Golden Bay, Motueka and Nelson Area Committees and the securing of land for a future Ambulance Hub in Richmond.  Elected to the South Island Region Trust Board in 2019 as the representative for Nelson-Marlborough, he chaired the Finance and Strategic Planning groups whilst on the board. 

His professional background spans 20+ years in the Local Government sector, with leadership roles in Service, Regulatory, Finance, and Project Management.  More recently, Cam has transitioned into consulting in ERP software for Local Government and Health clients across Australia and New Zealand. 

Cam was appointed as an Officer of the Order in 2024.
