I started with St John in Auckland in 1997 as a Youth leader when my daughter’s division had no leaders. I became an active member of events shortly after to help support the cadets. I have had a number of roles in both Youth and Operations, District Youth Manager, Regional Youth Portfolios Manager and Youth National Clinical Liaison Officer. As well as being the VTM , a CSO and an AC member. My current roles with St John include VTL, secretary of Pukekohe AC and the Regional Honours Committee. 

During my working life I was originally a teacher but once we moved to New Zealand, I was the General Manager of a community facility for almost 30 years and feel this gives me an insight into working with a variety of people. 

I strive to make a difference in whatever role I take on and currently volunteer with St John, Norfolk Island and several other groups locally as well as maintain my New Zealand volunteer roles.
