Social media community guidelines

We encourage open participation in our social communities and welcome your posts and comments.

It is important to respect others in our communities and therefore we will not tolerate posts or comments which we consider to be abusive, include profanity, are derogatory or breach any codes of practice or guidelines.

Our guidelines are designed to foster a safe space on Hato Hone St John’s official social media channels. To support this, we may delete or hide posts or comments that are:

  • Racist, sexist or homophobic in nature
  • False, defamatory or bullying
  • Contain confidential, personal or sensitive information
  • Off-topic, irrelevant or spam

We will remove any posts that violate the communication principles outlined in the Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015 (New Zealand) or Facebook policies and report them.  If an individual continues to violate our community guidelines, we reserve the right to permanently block that person from our page.

While we support discussion, constructive feedback and the expression of diverse points of view, what is expressed in these communities does not necessarily reflect the opinion of Hato Hone St John.
