Hato Hone St John has a special place in the hearts and minds of Te Puke residents.
Its connection with the town and surrounding areas began in 1941 when a nursing division was launched in the town. Due to demand for its services an ambulance division was established two years later in 1943.

Thank you to our supporters
In December 2011 Hato Hone St John moved from the site of its Ambulance Station in Te Puke to make way for a new council development.
Following this, Hato Hone St John services have been based in temporary premises while funds were raised to develop a new facility in Te Puke.
Thanks to the support and generosity of the local community, businesses, trusts and individual donors, a new Hato Hone St John facility is nearing completion in the town and will be officially opened for use in early 2014.
Hato Hone St John thanks all contributors and residents from Te Puke and surrounding areas who have supported this project.
