I joined Hato Hone St John in 2014 as a member of the Finance team, supporting the DCE of Customers and Supporters and later-on Enabling Services and the DCE and team of Community Health & Iwi Engagement.

With a passion for communities and the wellbeing of all people, I have moved into the seconded role as the GM for CH&IE North Island. My background is mostly in large Health Care Services and Private Hospitals as well as Non-profit organisations, supporting vulnerable children and families, youth struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancies and counselling for suicide survivors and families.??

I believe that community health initiatives, either through Hato Hone St John or Hato Hone St John partnering with other organisations is crucial. Prevention is better than cure, and we should ensure equitable access to healthcare for all New Zealanders through health?care initiatives and education in local communities. 

I am truly passionate about the work Hato Hone St John is doing, not only as an ambulance service but in our communities through our area committees, volunteers and? staff.
