Q. How long have you been an OV [Operational Volunteer] with us?
A. I’ve been at Hato Hone St John Bream Bay for 11 months.
Q. Why did you join Hato Hone St John?
A. I have always wanted to become an ambulance officer since I was little. I also wanted to give something back to my community.
Q. What do you like about the job?
A. I love meeting new people and making new friends in the community and out on the road. Helping people and making them feel better is a truly rewarding part of the job. The people I work with are truly amazing and are a lot of fun. I enjoy learning new skills in a relaxed and fun environment. There isn’t ever a dull moment at Bream Bay.
Q. What do you do outside of Hato Hone St John?
A. I look after my 3 year old son and spend a lot of time with family and friends.
