St John can confirm it responded to a house explosion in the suburb of Northwood in Christchurch on July 19, sending six ambulances and two managers to the scene.
Six patients were assessed at the scene, ranging from moderate to critical injuries, and were taken to Christchurch Hospital. St John was notified of the incident at 10.18am.
