For children who have had the courage to act when it was needed

Hato Hone St John in Schools is proud to acknowledge the actions of tamariki who act bravely, or with a purpose to improve the wellbeing of others.

Our Courage in Action award recognises and celebrates brave tamariki by awarding them a Courage in Action certificate and cape, and proudly showcasing their bravery to family and friends. We are always looking for more children to recognise with this award.

Over 110,000 young people are trained each year by our St John in Schools Community Educators, providing them with skills to respond during emergencies, keep safe, and boost their mental wellbeing.
