With a worldwide history spanning more than 1,000 years and a local history dating back to 1885, St John has many stories to tell.
At the St John archives, located within our Auckland and Christchurch offices, our past is recorded and displayed as a museum, an extensive library and a large collection of carefully preserved artefacts. Some of the treasures in our archives are available online; you can see and hear them by clicking on the page links below.
Our archives are maintained by teams of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers who share a long connection to the organisation. If you have a question about St John’s history, they have the resources to find the answer.
