St John has once again been voted the Most Trusted Charity in the Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands Awards 2016.

For the third year in a row, the New Zealand public voted St John as Most Trusted Charity.  The annual independent survey is commissioned by Reader’s Digest and carried out by Catalyst Marketing & Research who polled a representative sample of 1,214 New Zealand adults.

“We are very humbled to be named once again as Most Trusted Charity by the New Zealand public.  Our patients and customers are at the heart of everything we do, and we never take community trust for granted,” says St John Chief Executive Peter Bradley.

“We thank New Zealanders for their vote and especially thank them for their ongoing support of St John.”

St John provides emergency ambulance services to 90% of the country and is the largest primary healthcare provider in New Zealand.  St John ambulance officers travel over 19 million kilometres, treating more than 425,000 patients a year.

St John has volunteers throughout the organisation and also contributes to New Zealand communities through community programmes and services. These include Caring Caller, Friends of the Emergency Department, Health Shuttles, monitored medical alarms, first aid training and St John Youth.
