ST JOHN REACHES CONSOLIDATED SETTLEMENT WITH ITS UNIONS

VICTORIA HAWKINS |

St John is pleased to announce it has reached a collective agreement with all its unions – Amalgamated Workers Unions of New Zealand, New Zealand Ambulance Association and First Union.

Each union’s membership voted to accept the improved offer from St John and the collective agreement was signed by all parties late this afternoon.

The final offer is significant with an average pay increase of 6.5 percent over two years and shift allowance provisions.

This has been a robust process for all parties, with negotiations lasting 10 months.

St John continues to work constructively with our employee representatives on the emergency ambulance workforce review, which will help inform our wider funding bid to Government later this year.
