Thanks to the team from Express Cargo, who ran a corporate golf tournament for St John earlier this year and raised $31,000.

The cheque was officially presented to St John last week at the South Island’s regional headquarters in Christchurch.

The focus of the golf tournament, held at the Clearwater Golf Resort near Christchurch, was to raise money that would go towards earthquake recovery.

St John had a number of fun activities on the course, including blood pressure testing, Command Unit display, casualty simulation, CPR training and a trivia wheel. Two vintage ambulances were also in pride of place at the golf course.

Christine Prince, Customers and Services Manager, says the golf tournament was a fantastic fun day. “We’d like to thank Express Cargo, their organising team, and all those who played at the tournament for their generosity and support.”
