Four Square Nightcaps St John Health Shuttle

This year, Four Square celebrates its 90th birthday. The iconic New Zealand brand is well known across New Zealand; the household name is an ingrained part of local communities.

St John in the South Island has a particularly special relationship with Four Square Supermarkets. It sponsors St John health shuttles in the South Island, and has done so since 2011. Four Square’s support covers vehicles and setup costs, which means St John has been able to grow the service in North and Mid Canterbury, Wakatipu, Central Otago, and a service from Invercargill to Dunedin.

St John decided to acknowledge the support of Four Square Supermarkets for their 90th birthday. Last week we started delivering birthday cakes and special birthday thank you cards to all Four Square Supermarkets across the South Island. Members of our teams from Operations and Community Programmes took some time to deliver cakes and cards to some of the 60-plus Four Square supermarkets.

Many of the cakes were baked and iced by St John team members themselves. Pam Hall, Community Care Manager, says St John has some potential ‘NZ’s Hottest Home Baker’ contestants in its midst.

Four Square Supermarkets and St John are both linked with their communities, with long histories of ‘looking after the locals’ and being ‘first to care’. Many thanks to them for their support of our work.
